For distributed power-network topologies, traffic aggregation and deduplication reduce pressure on the central aggregation layer and lower total deployment cost.
Challenges
Network links are numerous and distributed, while router mirroring resources are hardware-limited. Because per-link bandwidth utilization is often low, links are aggregated and deduplicated at the data-collection layer to reduce pressure on the central aggregation/distribution layer and lower implementation cost. After aggregation, tailored matching rules are applied per team requirement to extract the required monitoring traffic and reduce backend server load.

- Building A, 5F main room: 40 x 10GE capture ports (20 devices, 2 ports each)
- Building A, 5F auxiliary room: 16 x 10GE capture ports (8 devices, 2 ports each)
- Building A, 2F operation room: 24 x 10GE capture ports (14 devices, 2 ports each)
- One 48-port aggregation/distribution device is deployed in Building C for cross-building aggregation.
